TERMS & CONDITIONS
RELATING TO THEATREWORKS SERVICES AND ALL ASSOCIATED ACTIVITIES.
IF YOU HAVE ANY QUERIES, PLEASE RESPOND BY EMAIL – HELLO@THEATREWORKSDEAL.COM WITHIN 3 WORKING DAYS OF READING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. WITH NO-RESPONSE WE WILL ASSUME YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF ALL OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
1. FILM AND PHOTOGRAPHY POLICY
1:1 PHOTOGRAPHS OF STUDENTS MAY BE TAKEN DURING SESSIONS FOR REPORTING, MARKETING AND PUBLICITY PURPOSES ONLY. STUDENTS MIGHT BE NAMED, WHERE APPROPRIATE.
1:2 PRESS PHOTOGRAPHS, VIDEO RECORDINGS AND/OR PUBLICATIONS RELATING TO THEATREWORKS, MAY INCLUDE ALL STUDENTS.
1:3 FOR THE PURPOSES OF REPORTING, PROMOTING AND MARKETING THEATREWORKS, STAFF MEMBERS (ALL OF WHOM ARE DBS CHECKED) MAY VIDEO STUDENTS.
1:4 IMAGES OF STUDENTS WILL BE USED ON SOCIAL MEDIA SITES, FOR THE PURPOSES OF PROMOTING THEATREWORKS. STUDENTS MIGHT BE NAMED WITH FORENAMES ONLY, WHERE APPROPRIATE.
2. PAYMENT AND REFUND POLICY
2:1 THE MONTH'S FEES MUST BE PAID IN FULL BY THE DUE DATE IN ORDER TO SECURE A STUDENTS’ PLACE. IF THE FEE IS NOT PAID, OR ARRANGEMENTS NEGOTIATED WITH THEATREWORKS AGREED, YOUR PLACE MAY BE GIVEN TO A FULL PAYING STUDENT ONCE A WAITING LIST HAS STARTED. PAYMENT METHODS INCLUDE CASH – CHEQUE – ONLINE BANK TRANSFER)
2:2 WE DO NOT OFFER ANY REFUNDS.
IF, FOR ANY REASON, YOUR CHILD/WARD IS UNABLE TO ATTEND A SESSION FOLLOWING FULL PAYMENT, WE ARE UNABLE TO OFFER A REFUND. FOLLOWING DISCUSSIONS WITH STAFF, AND PRIOR NOTICE OF ABSENCE, THE FEES PAID WILL BE CREDITED TO YOUR CHILD FOR THE NEXT MONTH'S CLASSES. THIS WILL ONLY BE A VIABLE OPTION A MAXIMUM OF TWO WEEKS PER MONTHLY INVOICED PERIOD.
2:3 ANY OUTSTANDING FEES, 1 WEEK INTO THE MONTH, WILL INCUR A £5 ADMINISTRATION CHARGE.
2:4 IF THERE ARE ANY OUTSTANDING FEES AFTER ONE MONTH AND NO COMMUNICATION WITH STAFF AS TO THE REASON WHY, YOUR CHILD/WARD WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO RETURN TO THEATREWORKS
2:5 THE FIRST MONTH OF A CHILD'S CLASSES CAN BE PAID WEEKLY PAY AS YOU GO, AFTER THIS YOU WILL RECEIVE MONTHLY INVOICES FOR THE MONTH IN ADVANCE, TO BE PAID BY THE FIRST CLASS OF THE MONTH.
2:6 THE FULL AMOUNT MUST BE PAID REGARDLESS OF ATTENDANCE AT CLASSES. IT IS DOWN TO THEATREWORKS STAFF TO ROLL ANY PAYMENT OVER TO THE NEXT MONTH.
2:7 ALL PAYMENT INFORMATION WILL BE PRINTED ON YOUR MONTHLY INVOICE
3. BEHAVIOUR POLICY
3:1 THEATREWORKS REQUIRES HIGH STANDARDS OF DISCIPLINE FROM ITS STUDENTS. SHOULD A STUDENT BEHAVE IN A CONSISTENTLY POOR MANNER, AS TO DISRUPT THE LEARNING AND ENJOYMENT OF OTHERS, ONE WARNING (YELLOW CARD) WILL BE GIVEN TO SAID STUDENT AND THEIR PARENT/CARER WILL BE INFORMED. A SECOND OCCURRENCE OF POOR BEHAVIOUR (RED CARD) WILL INSTANTLY TERMINATE ATTENDANCE AT THEATREWORKS WITH NO REFUND OF COURSE FEES. PARENTS WILL BE NOTIFIED TO COLLECT THEIR CHILD/WARD IMMEDIATELY.
3:2 IT IS EXPECTED THAT ALL STUDENTS WILL ARRIVE ON TIME AND PREPARED FOR THEIR CLASS/WORKSHOP/REHEARSAL. START AND FINISH TIMES ARE ALWAYS WELL ADVERTISED.
3:3 DURING WEEKLY CLASSES A SYSTEM OF TWO WARNINGS AND A CROSS WILL BE ADHERED TO. ONE CROSS WILL LEAD TO A CONVERSATION WITH PARENT/CARER. CLASS RULES ARE DECIDED UPON BY BOTH STUDENTS AND STAFF AND SIGNED BY EACH INDIVIDUAL TO BUILD A TEAM ATMOSPHERE AND SENSE OF RESPONSIBILITY TO THE GROUP. IF A CHILD GETS CONSISTENT CROSSES, IT WILL BE DECIDED UPON WHETHER TO GIVE A YELLOW CARD.
4. CHILD PROTECTION & SAFEGUARDING POLICY
4:1 STAFF MEMBERS WEAR A COMPANY T-SHIRT OR HOODIE WHILST WORKING AT THEATREWORKS AND MUST SIGN IN AND OUT AT THE BEGINNING AND THE END OF EACH SESSION THEY ATTEND. ALL STAFF HAVE A RELEVANT, UP TO DATE DBS CHECK.
4:2 NO UNAUTHORIZED ADULTS ARE PERMITTED TO BE IN THE ROOM WITH THE STUDENTS AT ANY TIME. IF, FOR ANY REASON PARENTS/CARERS NEED TO COLLECT THEIR CHILD(REN) EARLY, OR IF ANY OTHER ADULT OTHER THAN THE TWO EMERGENCY CONTACTS LISTED ON A CHILDS STUDENT INFO FORM WILL REQUIRE PRIOR NOTIFICATION.
4:3 THEATREWORKS OFFICIAL VISITORS WILL SIGN-IN AND OUT AND WILL BE ACCOMPANIED BY A STAFF MEMBER AT ALL TIMES, UNTIL THE RELEVANT DBS CHECKS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED, WHERE REQUIRED.
4:4 STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO BE ON TIME, HOWEVER, BEING TOO EARLY CAN BE PROBLEMATIC. STAFF ARE HAPPY TO SUPERVISE STUDENTS, IF NEEDED, 5 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE START OF SESSION, BUT NO EARLIER. ANY EARLIER THAN THAT AND WE CANNOT OFFICIALLY BE “IN LOCO PARENTIS”.
4:5 THERE ARE TOILETS THAT CAN BE USED BY STUDENTS; AGE 3-5 WILL BE ACCOMPANIED BY A STAFF MEMBER. ALL OTHER STUDENTS MAY GO INDEPENDENTLY.
4:6 IN CASE OF EMERGENCY, THEATREWORKS STAFF CAN GIVE CONSENT ON BEHALF OF PARENTS/CARERS, FOR ANAESTHETIC ADMINISTRATION OR ANY OTHER EMERGENCY TREATMENT TO BE GIVEN ON THE ADVICE OF A QUALIFIED PRACTITIONER.
4:7 EACH CHILD IS REQUIRED TO HAVE A THEATREWORKS T-SHIRT / HOODIE. THEY ARE ENCOURAGED TO WEAR THESE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE FOR CLASSES, AS THEY DO TAKE PLACE IN A PUBLIC BUILDING. THEY ARE MANDATORY DURING ANY TIME WE ARE IN REHEARSAL OR VISITING ANY OTHER VENUE OTHER THAN OUR REGULAR REHEARSAL ROOMS.
4:8 ACCESS BY THE PUBLIC, TO OUR INDIVIDUAL ROOMS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED AND REGULARLY PATROLLED BY ONSITE FACILITIES MANAGERS.
5. ONLINE SAFETY POLICY
5:1 WE DO HAVE AN ONLINE PRESENCE AND ENCOURAGE OUR STUDENTS TO BE A PART OF THAT. STUDENTS, HOWEVER, ARE ENCOURAGED TO POST/COMMENT POSITIVELY AND NATURALLY BE RESPECTFUL AND KIND TOWARDS OTHERS ONLINE.
5:2 STAFF MEMBERS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO BE ‘FRIENDS’ WITH OR TO ‘FOLLOW’ A STUDENT. PERSONAL SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS ARE PERSONAL AND WE ASK ALL STUDENTS TO RESPECT THAT.
STUDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO COMMUNICATE VIA THEATREWORKS ACCOUNTS AND POST PHOTOS AND COMMENTS THAT ARE SUPPORTIVE AND RESPECTFUL OF THE THEATREWORKS COMMUNITY.
6. EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY POLICY
6:1 IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE EQUALITY ACT OCTOBER 2010, THEATREWORKS IS COMMITTED TO PROMOTING A POSITIVE AND DIVERSE CULTURE AND ACHIEVING EQUALITY OF OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL STUDENTS, STAFF, PARENTS AND VISITORS ENSURING ALL ARE RESPECTED, VALUED AND SUPPORTED.

6:3 WE RECOGNISE OUR OBLIGATION UNDER THE EQUALITY ACT 2010 AND WE OPPOSE AND PROHIBIT ALL FORMS OF UNLAWFUL AND UNFAIR DISCRIMINATION, BULLYING AND HARRASSMENT.
6:4 OBJECTIVES
a) DEVELOP AN ETHOS WITHIN THEATREWORKS THAT RESPECTS ALL PEOPLE
b) ACTIVELY PROMOTE EQUALITY OF OPPORTUNITY
c) PROHIBIT AND ELIMINATE ALL FORMS OF DISCRIMINATION, BULLYING, HARRASSMENT OR OTHER OPPRESSIVE BEHAVIOUR THROUGH USE OF THEATREWORKS, DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURES WHEN REQUIRED.
d) TAKE POSTIVE ACTION TO SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGE INDIVIDUALS WHOSE PROGRESS HAS BEEN LIMITED DUE TO STEREOTYPES AND CULTURAL EXPECTATIONS.
6:5 WE WILL TAKE ACTIVE STEPS TO COMMUNICATE THIS POLICY TO ALL STAFF AND STUDENTS
6:6 ALL STAFF ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR
a) PROMOTING EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY AND AVOIDING UNFAIR DISCRIMINATION
b) CHALLENGING ANY INCIDENTS OF UNFAIR DISCRIMATION AND RACIAL/SEXUAL/OTHER STEREOTYPING PERPETRATED BY STUDENTS OR STAFF
6:7 ALL STUDENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR
a) RESPECTING ALL OTHERS REGARDLESS OF ANY OF THE 9 CHARACTERISTICS LISTED ABOVE
b) FOLLOWING THEATREWORKS RULES ON DISCRIMATION/BULLYING
